Is the Saxony XL the right kind of grill shelter?
Choose a grill shelter by working backward from the equipment and the site. The Saxony XL may fit a dedicated cooking station, but the model name alone cannot establish safe grill placement or enough room for a second appliance.
Start with a three-part check
- Appliance: Does the manual permit this type of overhead structure?
- Space: Can every required clearance and operating movement fit between the gazebo’s components?
- Support: Can the site satisfy the gazebo’s foundation and anchoring instructions?
Understand the fixed layout
The official Saxony XL listing identifies cedar framing, steel roofing and built-in counters. Use the installation drawings for the post locations and usable space. A nominal 12-by-6 description is not the dimensions of an empty room.
Compare the complete installed cost
Ask what the offer includes and budget for delivery access, site preparation, anchoring, assembly help and any electrical work. Keep maintenance and replacement-part access in view. Current prices and availability should be checked with the seller at purchase time.
Know when to change the plan
Choose a different layout if it requires squeezing a grill next to cedar, enclosing the sides or making unapproved structural additions. If the grill manual prohibits covered use, reserve an appropriate open-air cooking location and use shelter elsewhere.

Review the exact kit manual before delivery, inventory components and arrange help for the steps that need it. Follow the manufacturer’s finish and inspection guidance rather than a universal resealing interval. An Arcadia build time is not a Saxony XL build estimate.
