Keep the whole gazebo project under $3,000
A kit priced below $3,000 can still exceed a $3,000 project budget once site preparation and installation are included. Decide whether your limit covers the product alone or the completed gazebo before comparing offers.
A dated Arcadia price example
Checked October 8, 2026, the manufacturer’s Arcadia 12×9.5 page listed the kit at $1,799 and optional assembly at $780. Together those listed amounts total $2,579, leaving $421 within a $3,000 budget before any tax, foundation work or other charges. Prices and service availability can change.
Build the budget in order
- Kit price and taxes.
- Delivery terms for the destination.
- Foundation, anchoring and any site corrections.
- Assembly, tools or equipment hire.
- Optional accessories and electrical work.
Do not cut the foundation to preserve the headline price
Get the support and installation needs assessed before ordering. An existing patio or deck may need work, and that cost can change which kit fits the budget.
Make a fair shortlist
Compare complete quotes for models that fit the intended furniture and site. The Arcadia is a candidate when its dimensions and installation plan work; the lowest kit price alone does not establish the best value. Keep optional screens, lighting and furniture outside the base budget unless they are essential to the project.

Watch a Real Backyard Discovery Gazebo Build in 4K
Before you commit to a gazebo, it helps to see one go together in the real world. Preston and his brother built a Backyard Discovery Arcadia 12′ x 9.5′ cedar gazebo in a single evening, start to finish.
In the 4K video below, you can see how the pre-cut, pre-drilled cedar pieces fit together, how the hardware is organized, and how manageable the process is for just two people. The fresh cedar smell, solid posts, and overall build quality are a big part of why we like Backyard Discovery so much.
If you want to see more photos and details from this exact build, Preston also wrote about the process on his personal site: PrestonShamblen.com/backyard-discovery-arcadia-gazebo-setup. It includes tips, notes, and behind-the-scenes details from the same evening.
