The Saxony XL is a cedar grill shelter with a long, narrow layout. Evaluate it as a complete installation project: the kit, the support surface, the equipment beneath or beside it and the way people will use the space.
Check the actual product details
The manufacturer’s current listing identifies model 2206083B and describes cedar framing, galvanized steel roofing, integrated counters and PowerPort. Confirm the retailer’s model and included accessories rather than relying only on the “12 x 6” label.
Use drawings for fit
The assembly manual includes the component and anchoring layout. Plot posts and counters first, then the appliance and its open doors or lid. Roof coverage is not the same as an unobstructed floor area.
Separate grill compatibility from shelter features
Open sides and steel roofing do not establish that every grill can operate underneath. Check the appliance’s restrictions on overhead combustible construction and its required separation from the cedar frame. Do not substitute an improvised heat shield for those instructions.
Prepare the site before delivery
The manual calls for a suitable square, level support. Its concrete anchoring hardware and wood-deck requirements differ; deck attachment needs appropriate hardware and support beneath the deck. A layer of pavers or gravel is not automatically an adequate anchoring solution.
