Plan a compact Saxony XL outdoor kitchen around actual clearances
A compact outdoor kitchen begins with a measured appliance layout. The Saxony XL can organize a prep and cooking area, but a nominal 12-by-6 size is not a promise that a grill, refrigerator and counter will all fit safely.
Draw the fixed components first
The manufacturer’s listing identifies two supplied side counters. Use the model drawings to place those counters and the four posts before adding furniture. Exterior roof dimensions are different from clear space between components.
Build the plan in this order
- Check whether each appliance permits the proposed covered location.
- Mark its required clearances, including overhead restrictions.
- Draw lids, doors and shelves in their open positions.
- Add a clear route for the cook and access to controls and connections.
- Place prep and serving furniture only in the remaining space.
Keep added furniture independent
A separate outdoor-rated cart is easier to assess than a new cabinet hung from the gazebo. Do not assume the supplied counters can carry a stone top, sink or heavy appliance. Obtain capacity and attachment guidance from the manufacturer before changing their load.
Leave utility design to the site assessment
Have a qualified electrician or gas installer assess permanent services and applicable local requirements. The included power accessory does not establish that the existing supply can run all proposed appliances together.

Before ordering
Walk the taped-out layout with the appliances represented at full size. If the passageway disappears when a door opens, simplify the plan. A separate dining or serving area may be more practical than forcing every function under the narrow roof.
