A hot tub may fit beneath a Barrington 12×12, but the model name does not describe twelve feet of unobstructed interior space. The manufacturer’s manual for model 2306226 shows 9 feet 10 1/8 inches between the posts. Corner braces also reduce clearance higher up. Treat these drawings as the starting point for a measured layout, not confirmation that a particular spa fits.
Draw the tub, access space, and moving cover
Use the exact spa manufacturer’s installation guide and the instructions for its chosen cover lifter. Mark the cabinet footprint, steps, equipment-panel access, and required service clearances. Then add the cover’s complete lifting arc and its parked position, including any space needed behind the tub. Check overhead clearance against beams and braces at the proposed position. A cover that fits when closed may still hit the gazebo while opening.
Try the arrangement on the ground before ordering: tape the post positions and spa outline, then walk the entry route. Keep a practical path to every service panel and confirm how the tub will be delivered and eventually removed.
Resolve the installation before adding privacy
Have the spa installer and a qualified foundation professional confirm support for the filled tub and occupants, plus the separate gazebo loads and anchorage. A licensed electrician should plan the spa supply, bonding, grounding, and equipment clearances. The Barrington’s included PowerPort does not establish that the spa can use it. Choose privacy screening only after checking compatibility, airflow, service access, and local barrier requirements; do not alter roof panels or braces to make the layout work.
