A 12×24 gazebo label is the start of a sizing check
The Barrington 24×12 may suit a long patio, but do not order or pour a foundation from the nominal size alone. Roof dimensions, anchor positions and space between posts are different measurements.
Check the exterior dimensions
The current Barrington 24×12 listing gives an overall width of 295.75 inches and depth of 144.75 inches. That is not an exact 288-by-144-inch outside rectangle. Use the current model drawings for the actual foundation and anchor layout.
Measure the space you will use
Transfer the post locations from the 2406032 manual to a scaled plan. Add chairs pulled away from tables, doors, storage access and walking routes. Do not count roof overhang as clear floor space.
Compare alternatives on the same basis
A 20×12 has a shorter nominal length, not less nominal depth. Compare actual dimensions and post spacing for each alternative; a smaller model is not necessarily the same kit with one section removed.
Check the intended activity
- For dining, test both seated and pulled-out chair positions.
- For lounging, keep clear routes around tables and sofas.
- For equipment, check independent operating and service clearances.
- For grilling or heating, confirm the appliance permits the proposed covered location.

Have the support and anchoring arrangement established before delivery. Do not assume pavers or a gravel pad provide the required structure. Follow the kit manual for assembly and helpers, and avoid estimating a large Barrington build from a smaller Arcadia video.
